Silent Shot (not so silent)

Last night, I was hanging with my old childhood friend Michael Miller at Universal City Ripoff Walk ($25 for valet parking????) and we stopped at Howl at the Moon for drinks. We walked into some sort of battle of the bands. After several drinks a metal band, Silent Shot took the stage. Surprisingly I enjoyed listening to them. You know I couldn't hear most of their lyrics but I fully enjoyed their intensity, sincere rawness. It woke me up and made me feel alive. Four guys having fun, loving their music, totally lost in their music, mind, body and soul, pounding their heads; primal. They will be back on September 19th. I believe that there is a $5 cover and show starts at 8pm. But call to confirm. I'm gonna try to catch them.

"Fat Shit" was one of my favorites selections.

Hey, I just got a booked open mic spot this Tuesday in Granada Hills. It’s in a room in the back of a pizza place (The LA Pizza Company). Seven comedians including the headliner Brett Gilbert are scheduled to perform. No cover, no drink minimum. The show is from 8 -10pm. I have never been to this place so I don’t know what to expect. Gutter Comedy show Battle of the Comics - Rembrandts Bar in Placentia

The new Gutter Comedy show Battle of the Comics began last Tuesday, August 16th @ Rembrandts Bar in Placentia and goes through September 27th!! Show (every Tuesday) starts at 8pm and there is NO COVER!! 10 comics per night battling to share $1000 dollars!! Audience votes so come on down and support...$1 tacos and awesome drink specials too! I performed last Tuesday and had a blast. Nick Petrillo and Ron Swallow hit it out the ballpark and won that night.
